Mr. McSwain is a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Clinician with over a decade of experience in the field of counseling psychology. He began his career working with youth aged five to eighteen in a residential treatment center in Great Barrington, MA. Mr. McSwain has since treated community members in a variety of clinical settings, including serving as a forensic mental health clinician for the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department in Ludlow, MA, as well as a clinical supervisor and outpatient clinician for a local mental health clinic in Springfield, MA for ten years. Mr. McSwain added teaching to his repertoire as an adjunct professor with Bay Path University in their graduate program, as well as a subject matter expert, working with other faculty to redesign their online academic program. 

 

With these years of experience in an array of clinical settings, Mr. McSwain now works with graduate students at American International College in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology programs. He acts as the internship coordinator, professional advisor, instructor and subject matter expert, collaborating with other faculty and administration in an effort to continue to provide a quality education for all students. Mr. McSwain continues to reside locally with his family and son.
