We Are AIC
AIC was founded in 1885 to provide an educational pathway for immigrants coming to the U.S. through New York. At that time, AIC offered an inclusive community for people from all backgrounds to earn a college degree and achieve the American dream. Today, we are recognized as a top social mobility performer with an A+ in Diversity from Niche. Our goal is the same as it was more than 130 years ago—to provide access to quality education for personal growth and professional success.

"Online classes can be very intimidating, but the program sets up in a way where it’s a lot easier to stay disciplined and the lectures and information is very clear cut so it’s manageable to dissect for future exams or assignments. Professors of the program are excellent communicators. Emails are answered within 24 hours but mostly less than that. Professors and administrators were phenomenal at keeping us on track and making sure we were not left behind. AIC Reimagined
2022–2027 Strategic Plan
Governing bodies decree that AIC periodically evaluates the content and relevance of its mission and purposes, ensuring they are current and provide overall direction in planning, evaluation, and resource allocation. We examined the College’s financial position, studied higher education trends impacting colleges and universities, and analyzed the results of a campus-wide community survey. Common themes included the College’s focus on diversity, access, and opportunity. This exercise resulted in newly proposed mission and vision statements for the College, the affirmation of AIC’s core values, and the launch of a dynamic, strategic plan for the next five years.
