AIC Yesterday
American International College (AIC) was founded in 1885 to provide an educational pathway for immigrants coming to the U.S. through New York. At that time, AIC offered an inclusive community for people from all backgrounds to earn a college degree and achieve the American dream. The founders understood that a college education was an effective means toward economic and social success in American society. They wanted to form a college that would provide excellent educational preparation and enable its graduates to attain lifelong satisfaction and success.
AIC Today and Tomorrow
Today, American International College is a private, coeducational, four-year comprehensive institution in Springfield, Massachusetts. Liberal arts are at the core of our academic offerings. The College includes the School of Business, the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Education, and the School of Health Sciences.
We are always evolving at AIC. To prepare us for tomorrow and clear a path for continued success, we recently drafted a new mission and vision statement for the College, affirmed our core values, and launched a dynamic, strategic plan for the next five years. Our goal is the same as it was more than 130 years ago — to provide access to quality education for personal growth and professional success.
