Carolyn Wallace associate dean

Dr. Wallace joined American International College as Associate Dean and adjunct professor in 2023. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, with her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership with a focus on leadership, followership, and culture. She also earned her M.Ed. and CAGS, focusing on leadership and curriculum. Dr. Wallace spent 30 years as an elementary educator and leader in elementary schools in various districts across Central and Western Massachusetts. Her work in the PreK-12 space focused on supporting students and staff in schools impacted by trauma, poverty, and the underfunding of resources.

Research:
Building a Building While Building a Culture: Bringing Teacher Voices into the Creation of a New School’s Culture

Teaching Areas:
Undergraduate Education courses include multicultural education and diversity, literacy, and social-emotional learning.

Graduate Education courses, including diagnostic teaching and issues in urban education.

Doctoral Education courses include theory and application and thinking about teaching.
