Biography:

Dr. Dee Strbiak is an Adjunct Professor at American International College where she teaches psychology and counseling-related courses. She brings more than three decades of professional experience in clinical practice, curriculum development, and trauma-informed education. Dr. Strbiak has worked extensively in the chemical dependency, trauma, and workplace violence fields, and she has held leadership roles in treatment settings and educational instruction.

She maintains a private therapy practice in Windsor, Colorado, and develops curriculum and training workshops in the psychology and behavioral health fields. Previously, Dr. Strbiak served as the director of a DUI treatment agency for over 25 years in which she provided court-ordered substance use treatment.

Dr. Strbiak holds a Psy.D. in Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from California Southern University and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a certified addiction specialist (MAC), and a diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (DAAETS). She is also an accomplished woodturner, an artist, and is currently working on a book for new therapists.
