Dr. Matott is an alumna of American International College with a Master's in Forensic Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology-Clinical track. Originally from Western Mass, Dr. Matott moved to California soon after her Doctoral commencement to oversee a mental health agency for the Central Valley Region. Specializing in trauma Dr. Matott brings a unique perspective from her years working in various hospitals, institutions, crisis residentials, and community health settings. She has taught various psychology/special education classes at AIC since 2011 for several years and recently returned last semester.
Dr. Matott's interests lie in the public health sector and working with incarcerated/offender populations. She has relocated to the Bay area of Northern California as of recently, and is investigating the second half of life as an empty nester and pitbull dog mom.
