Biography:

Professor Keith Dodds serves as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Psychology at American International College. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is an active clinician working in the behavioral health field. His instructional work focuses on courses within the LADC program, where he supports students pursuing careers in substance use counseling and related behavioral health professions.

Alongside his academic role, Professor Dodds works as a clinician with individuals experiencing substance use disorder. His professional experience includes providing therapy for developmentally and intellectually disabled populations, conducting intake assessments, developing and maintaining treatment plans, and documenting treatment progress. He delivers counseling in both individual and group settings and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support client care.

Professor Dodds also has experience managing discharge planning, maintaining shift documentation, and coordinating insurance authorizations. His combined experience in clinical practice and teaching allows him to integrate real-world behavioral health perspectives into his coursework, helping students connect academic concepts to applied counseling practice.
