Biography:

Dr. Marissa Hyszczak is an Adjunct Professor of Graduate Psychology at American International College. She teaches courses in diagnostic assessments for individuals and groups as well as the systems and theories of psychology. Combining her background in education and clinical psychology, Dr. Hyszczak brings a unique instructional perspective that incorporates hands-on and collaborative learning, real-world experiences, and case studies into a dynamic classroom environment.

Dr. Hyszczak currently works in a public school system as a school psychologist and special education team facilitator. She has experience as a special education teacher in both urban and suburban settings, and she has worked as a clinician through various local agencies as well as within the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program at Baystate. Her interests include current mental health trends, psychometrics, educational assessment, and integrating social-emotional constructs into academic instruction.

She also volunteers as Secretary for the Parent Teacher Organization at her children’s school. Dr. Hyszczak resides in western Massachusetts with her husband and three children.
