Biography:
Dr. Megan Pollock is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at American International College, bringing nearly 17 years of experience working in the mental health field. She is a licensed psychologist whose clinical and academic background includes holistic and developmental approaches grounded in evidence-based practice. Dr. Pollock has worked with clients across the lifespan — from young children to older adults — and integrates her broad clinical experience into her teaching.
Dr. Pollock earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in Fresno, California. During her doctoral training, she completed extensive clinical placements through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including practicum, internship, and postdoctoral fellowship experiences focused on serious mental illness and evidence-based treatment dissemination. She is certified in multiple therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Social Skills Training (SST) for schizophrenia, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI).
Currently, Dr. Pollock works full-time in private practice via telehealth and ecotherapy (outdoor therapy) and is licensed in California, Montana, and Wyoming. Her clinical work and training in empirically supported methods inform her instruction and support students preparing for careers in psychology and behavioral health.
In her spare time, Dr. Pollock enjoys spending time with her children and family, exercising, caring for many pets (dogs, reptiles, and pigs), and volunteering to provide animal care for wolf hybrids.
