Biography:

Dr. Susan Henrichon serves as the Dean of the School of Education at American International College. In this role, she provides leadership, direction, and support for the School of Education.  She serves as Licensing Officer and is responsible for all endorsements through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  Dr. Henrichon teaches at the doctoral and graduate levels with a focus on school leadership, particularly in personnel and law.  Additionally, she acts as Senior Instructor/Program Supervisor in Moderate Disabilities.

Dr. Henrichon has spent over 35 years working in public school, primarily as a central office administrator and district leader.  She holds licensure through DESE in various areas including Superintendent, Administrator of Special Education, Principal, Special Education and Music Teacher.  Dr. Henrichon also holds licensure through Massachusetts Early Education and Care for Director and Lead Teacher.  In prior roles, she has served as a Special Education Team Leader, Director of Special Education and Student Services, and Assistant Superintendent throughout Central and Western Massachusetts.

Dr. Henrichon has been involved with several state and regional associations representing special education administrators and superintendents.  She provides consultation to school districts, supporting administrators and special education/at risk programs with a focus on evaluation and program development.   Her work focuses on building efficient educational leaders to meet the needs of today’s ever-changing landscape.
